Minecraft Volume Alpha

I think I sometimes forget just how much I love the Minecraft Volume Alpha soundtrack. Obviously the rest of the Minecraft OST is great too, I love Volume Beta and all of Lena Raine's contributions, but something about Volume Alpha is just dripping with an indescribable emotion... It's an album that feels like it fell out of the pocket of some other world, an empty world with no one in it except for me. A world that is bright and vibrant and waiting for potential, with no one in it to give it life. It will forever remain dormant, not lifeless but not alive, never waking from its static state. The only thing it can do is reverberate its song, the only sign of life in all of its reality, and let it ring out through the air, traveling for beyond the bounds of its world and into every other. The only sense of self that a dormant, static world can have is this song.

And so it sings.
